About the event

What is it really like to work with sharks in one of the most shark-filled places on Earth?

Join marine biologist Alex Hearn, a National Geographic contributor and shark expert, for an exciting behind-the-scenes look at life as a marine biologist.

Alex will share his journey from discovering his passion for the ocean to becoming a marine biologist, along with incredible stories from his work in the field. You’ll hear about some of his unforgettable encounters with sharks, discover fascinating facts about these amazing animals, and learn what it’s really like to study them in the wild.

And the best part? You get to ask the questions!

After Alex’s talk, we’ll have 30 minutes of live Q&A, giving kids the chance to ask him anything they’ve ever wanted to know about sharks, marine biology, his adventures, or life in the ocean.
