Archie’s life is uneventful. He lives in a quiet suburb in Sydney, rides his bike to high school every morning, and plays soccer on Saturdays.
That is, until he and four of his schoolmates win a competition and are suddenly thrust onto a dangerous mission to retrieve a stolen artefact, a precious instrument belonging to the Makassar tribe.
From crocodile-infested swamps and an abandoned mine in the Australian desert to a trap room in a famous art gallery, the five children face life-threatening challenges. They’ll have to rely on their courage, survival instincts and ability to solve cryptic puzzles in order to complete their mission.

When Archie, Ruby, Violet, Alex, and Max discover an ancient manuscript in an antique shop in Marrakesh, they’re suddenly thrust into a centuries-old mystery. The manuscript recounts the tale of the Golden Dinars of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur—three legendary golden coins said to be connected to a long-lost treasure.
There’s just one problem: the coins were stolen the night before and are now scattered across the city, hidden in places only the most resourceful explorers can find. And the five friends aren’t the only ones searching...
